On-Site Services
Supporting students outside the classroom.
At Boulder Primary School, we believe student wellbeing is an important part of learning. Our on-site support services provide caring, professional support for students and families, helping to foster a safe, connected and supportive school community.
School Chaplain
Our School Chaplain, provided through YouthCARE, supports the social and emotional wellbeing of students, families and the wider school community. The Chaplain is available at Boulder Primary School three days a week and provides a caring, supportive presence within the school.
Through pastoral care and student programs, the Chaplain helps students develop important social and emotional skills that support their wellbeing and learning. These programs focus on:
• building positive relationships with others
• developing confidence and resilience
• encouraging positive attitudes and behaviours at school
• supporting students’ social and emotional wellbeing
Our Chaplain is also available to support families, staff and members of the school community, helping to foster a supportive and connected school environment.

Community Health Nurse
Our wonderful Community Health Nurse visits Boulder Primary School each Thursday to support the health and wellbeing of our students.
On top of early screening for ear and eye concerns (Kindergarten and Pre-Primary) that may impact learning, the Nurse assists with where there are concerns about physical health and wellbeing. The Nurse can provide advice or referrals to additional health services when needed.
School Psychologist
Working closely with our staff, the School Psychologist supports the learning, behaviour and wellbeing of students.
This service may include working with teachers to develop strategies that support students in the classroom, assisting with the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs), and conducting assessments when there are concerns about a student’s learning or development. Where further support is required, the Psychologist can also connect families with additional external services.
If you would like more information about the School Psychologist service or have concerns about your child’s learning or wellbeing, please contact the school’s front office to speak to our Learning Support Coordinator or Deputy Principal.
